- Jan 16th Laura's birthday, Sat. Flowers from Maisie & Honor, a small ivory box from Karl, from Honor a birthday cake, a wir cable from Tom. Laura bought a 6 guinea red coat, & I gave her a Dutch brass (15/-) box of the four senses and 2 small Dutch miniature pewter plates 2/6 each and a silver gilt necklace with silver studded (tortoiseshell?) beads 1/-. A letter from Deyá, & one from G.Gordon enthusiastic about Trojan Ending . Lunch at Josef. To Jenny, who is much more self-possessed; plans for her next step, probably to R. Hughes at Larne Laugharne . Laura bought 2 silly dresses at sales (15/11 & 12/11) at Hammersmith. Went out with L & K for a walk down Baker St, Oxford St, Edgeware Road, upper George St. Drunken harmless Welsh Rugby enthusiasts wearing red caps. Laura finished the Letter for publication.
