Thom's Offical Directory

User Collection Public

Alexander Thom (1801–1879) was born in Scotland and moved to Dublin at the age of 20. He was the founder of Thom's Irish Almanac, first published in 1844. By time the 1904 edition was published, the publication had grown to include a Dublin street directory, names, addresses, and occupations for residents of other towns and districts in the country, and a variety of institutions, businesses, and departments for Ireland and the United Kingdom. The directory also includes a map of Dublin and a calendar for 1904.
