I cannot conceive how that absurd story originates, unless in my having had an injured foot found pressure on the bone in much walking, and having had (under Henry Thompson's advice) to lay it up for a week. I am in the utmost [?], thank God
Ref on my not going off westwards, without our having an evening together. I am still patiently undecided and unpledged, and await Dolly's return with full report. He will not be back, as I take it, many days before Michaelmas. If I go, it will not be before November.
