Aug [August] 16/50 [1950] Mohun Lake.
Plot #4 set up on s [south] end of first
ridge west of old main line on W [west] side
of Greenstone creek + about 300 ft [feet] W [West]
of old Signal tower.
Corner post set in large cut stump
+ line laid WSW [west-southwest] by W. [west].
Pellet groups 125. I am suspicious
that some of them were more than
a year old.
Aug [August] 17/50 [1950] Mohun Lake.
Very hot day. Set up plot 5 on
side road surveying E [east] from Morton
Lake road directly E [east] of Island in
Mohun Lake. Plot runs in a
generally NW [northwest] direction toward the
rocky, treeless hill to the north
of the old grade. Cedars show a
heavy degree of use up to 2 winters
ago but excellent recovery this
year. All cedars are less than
18" high most of them less than a
foot high. 29 Pellet groups
Plot #6 on top of ridge
immediately behind Mohun lake
cabin. NE [northeast] corner is at standing
fir left after logging + [illegible word]
