  • Water Shrew - (Vanc. [Vancouver] Isd. [Island]) The point at which Allan Lyons has seen water shrews is above where Dry Creek enters the Quatse River. Sept. [September] 2/35 [illegible word crossed out] JL Page 23. A water shrew was taken by Arthur Peake on small beaver creek near school at Quatsino V.I. [Vancouver Island] B.C. [British Columbia] Date [space left blank] 1936. Specimen was sent to Dr. Hall[?] of the M.V.Z. [Museum of Vertebrate Zoology] Berkeley Calif. [California] was taken on left hand side of creek just above bridge at small point of land jutting out into creek.
