Chemanis District

The Chemanis District located on the coast of Vancouver Island and bordered by the Comiaken District. This map has numbered plots of land and some relief marks and notes to show land forms and land cover. Some of the places named on the map include Stuart Channel, Osborn Bay, Chemanis River, Somenos Creek and the Pen-al-a-khuts Indian Reserve [Penelakut Tribe: Tsussie 6]. Other Reserves are Halalt Nation Halalt Island 1, Halalt 2 and Stz'uminus Nation: Say-La-Quas 10. Also includes a trail to Victoria, sloughs, and potato patches.
