Letter from J. R. Ackerley to John Betjeman, August 21, 1945

Public

Part of a collection of letters to John Betjeman from Joe Randolph "J. R." Ackerley (writer and literary editor of the BBC's weekly magazine The Listener, and open homosexual). Ackerley writes to Betjeman about one of his poems. He says that Patric Dickinson (British poet and playwright) borrowed it for broadcasting purposes, but Ackerley asked for it back so he could return it to Betjeman. He asks Betjeman if it was even broadcast.
