The Marionette is a prison newsletter made by prisoners for prisoners and the general public to spread awareness of the conditions prisons and in Marion Penitentiary, Illinois in particular. Later joined with Prison News Service (PNS) focused on political trials, repressive abuses of imprisonment and the resistance to such oppression.

Edited by Bill Dunne. Article topics include: Big juju, big harassment, The news is news, Marionnotes, Federal prison expansion (by special), Internal exile. (Note: p. 4-5 is a double page spread).
