Georgius Secundus, Dei Gratia Magnae Britanniae, Franciae et Hiberniae Rex
The manuscript is a legal document relating to lands in Lyme Regis (UK). The document was originally created for the heiress Sarah Andrew. What makes the document interesting is that Henry Fielding, the novelist, was in love with Sarah Andrew and tried to abduct her or elope with her, but was physically prevented by Andrew Tucker and his son John. The fracas in question is the source of a major incident in Tom Jones, just as Sarah Andrew is said to be the model for the heroine of that book, Sophie Western. Sarah in due course married the son of Ambrose Rhodes and is buried in the church in Lyme Regis. The owner of the document, Prof. John Tucker is the descendant of Andrew Tucker, mentioned in the document.
