Recreation and educational tours kept the troops busy until the time came to return home - scenes showing the Canadian National Vimy Memorial near Vimy, France; windmills, historic sites and buildings, andboats traveling through canals in Bruges; sailing, water-skiing, and boating; the Headquarters of the Canadian Scots Regiment in Ede, Holland; Farewell Parade for the 7th Canadian Infantry Brigade in Ede, Holland on November 6th, 1945 with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles (Little Black Devils), the Regina Rifle Regiment (the "Johns"), standing on Jeeps the Brigadier and the Burgomeester watch the last parade of the "Lucky Seven", the 1st Battalion Canadian Scottish led by Lt-Col. C. Wightman; On our way at last, #4 Repatriation Camp at Nijmegen on the 11th of November 1945; Entraining for Calais on November 13th, 1945 showing scenes of the war-damaged landscape; the Final Ceremonial Parade Inspection by the Col-in-Chief H.R.H. The Princess Royal Mary where 100 veterans march from St. Paul's to Mansion House for dinner with her Royal Highness and the Lord Mayor. The Canadian Scottish Regiment's mascot Wallace can possibly be seen at the end of the film.
