Very common at Alta Lake during end of Aug [August] 1921 These flocks ranging from a few birds up to 30 or 40 individuals 6/21/24 [1924] Frequently seen + heard about Alta + Nita Lakes also McGuire 6/20/24 [1924] Several seen at elev. [elevation] 3200' [feet], above Alta Lake on Sproat Mtn. [mountain] Apparently breeding. 6/24/24 [1924] Numerous all the way up [illegible word] creek to 6000 ft [feet] alt. [altitude] Sept [September] 1st 1921. Two flocks seen near camp Alta Lake B.C. [British Columbia] Jan [January] 27/29 [1929] One taken from flock of about 100 birds. North. Vancouver. several flocks seen + heard. North Vancouver B.C. [British Columbia] [underlined] 1928-29 [1929] Very common this winter [illegible word] Red Mtn. [Mountain] Alta Lake B.C. [British Columbia] Aug [August] 4/28 [1928] Frequently seen + heard but nowhere numerous. Usually in twos or threes + on one occasion 5 were seen together. Huntingdon B.C. [British Columbia] [underlined] Towards latter part of April 1934 as dandelions were going to seed, many large flocks of Pine Siskin arrived + remained for two weeks feeding on dandelion seeds. A [male symbol] taken contained 127 dandelion seeds in crop + about the same number in stomach, was taken at 1 p.m. Vancouver B.C. [British Columbia] Nov. [November] 16.1937. Two flocks joined forces in the clump of tall alders on the opposite side of Pt [Point] Gray Road [line cut off when scanned]
