- Synaptomys (contd [continued])
In these meadows. I found many
nests + runs of Synaptomys. These
were on elevations or in heather
clumps adjoining the meadows so
that they were dry. Each nest was
like an inverted bowl 6 to 8 in [inches]
in diam. [diameter] + was of dry sedges
wound together + lined with
finely shredded sedge.
One nest was occupied by
a [female symbol]. It contained 4 - 30 mm [millimetres] foetuses.
