Five Sweetmeat Dishes 1: 12.7 cm, Kangxi (1662-1722)
These petalled-shaped dishes, originally a set of eight, are painted in a soft palette of green, aubergine and yellow. The flat rims have floral borders and the outside has flower sprays on a yellow ground. The scenes on the dishes include : three birds in a bare tree; peony sprays, cricket and mosquitoes; magnolia tree and birds; and two scenes of butterflies and flowers.
Two Sweetmeat Dishes 1: 10.7 cm, Kangxi (1662-1722)
These famille verte sweetmeat dishes have a scene of a woman, leaning on a bench, and two children. The rim has a prunus and zigzag decoration. The exterior designs are of freely drawn bamboo on a green ground.
The exterior of this bowl, with powder blue ground, is decorated with four panels of floral sprays in famille verte enamels on a white ground. The interior has a central panel of a phoenix with flowers and rocks surrounded by four panels of flowers and rocks. The base has an underglaze blue ribboned design in a double circle.
