In general broad + moderately
long. One spec. [specimen] is 17 x 11 but is
foreshortened. Highly arched, valves
slightly beaked. Color reddish
brown with cream or light tan
markings of an irregular sort
usually aggregating a bit at the beak
to make this area + the [illegible word] light.
A smoothe [smooth] ridge separates the
lateral from dorsal areas. Mucro
prominent, slightly overhanging. Posterior
half depressed at almost right angles.
Inside white, pinkish at apex
to broadly flushed pink on outer
half. Lateral notches on intermediate
valves 1, post valve 11 [+/-] and 11 [+/-]
inside.

Surface sculpture very fine indeed
much like limata
The type lot consists of 4
specimens of the highly arched form
+ one flatter spec [specimen] with less beak.
Label indicates lot contains one spec [specimen]
of Tonicella rubra #20 but there is
no number on any specimen. Four of
them are so dirty as to present no color
