  • Yellow-rumped Audubon Warbler. Victoria Feb [February] 2, 1936. I today saw a warbler of this species land on Beacon Hill, after flying across the strait from the Olympic Peninsula. The day was bright but slightly windy - from the north. Feb [February] 7. Saw several more of these warblers in the gardens of the Empress Hotel Anarchist Mt. [Mountain], B.C. [British Columbia] June 22, 1936. Common nesting bird. Young have hatched but have not yet left the nest. Males are mostly finished singing - or just giving a half song. 10 mile Lake, Quesnel, B.C. [British Columbia] June 30, 1936 Scarce resident [word crossed out] breeder here Took a single [male symbol]. Feb. [February] 1, 1937 Victoria, B.C. [British Columbia] First Audubon Warbler seen. Second one noticed on Feb. [February] 9. Dec. [December] 24, 1938. Victoria Saw a warbler of this species in the Oaks outside Jubilee Hospital. March 20, 1939. Victoria, B.C. [British Columbia] Several Audubon warblers in the park today.
