- Synaptomys [underlined]
Monashee Pass. June 26/37 [1937].
Took a single [male symbol] in microtus
run near camp., sexually active,
testes scrotal.
Mt [Mount] Revelstoke 6000' July 4/37 [1937].
Took 3 [male symbol] Synaptomys in a colony
located in the matted grass of a
boggy alpine meadow. There were
36 traps set in the colony but
many were sprung by a rainstorm
All 3 were ad [adult], 2 had testes
scrotal (scrotal skin white, not black)
The third had testes abdominal.
Food cuttings
Basal leaves of grass, Kalmia
leaves + Leptarrhina pyrolifolia. Summer
feces are scattered along the runways
+ not in piles as are those of
the winter.
July 6/37 [1937]. Took a [female symbol] with 3 foetuses
in same colony + a [male symbol] in a trap
set in an M. [Microtus] richardsonii [underlined] run.
July 8/37 [1937]. Along the creek behind Mt [Mount]
Revelstoke a number of springs
rise from the hillside. At the head of each is a small meadow
consisting largely of short, black
headed sedge. + of 1 tufted cotton-
grass.
