Cranes casual in migration, blue heron seen once, goshawks casual. Examined skin of Mustela. f. [frenata] oribasa [underlined] in Norman Shreiber's store. Aug [August] 1/36. [1936] Quesnel. Left Ootsa this morning, saw large porcupine on road near Grassy Plains. Lunch at Vanderhoof. Supper in Quesnel, camped beside 4 mile creek on Barkerville road. Aug [August] 2/36 [1936] Indianpoint Lake. Came in here from Quesnel today. Aug [August] 3-13 [1936] same. Breeding birds seen. Pine Grosbeaks, Evening Grosbeaks White-winged Crossbill 6 [note inserted], Red Crossbill, Chipping Sparrow, Black-poll Warbler, Magnolia W. [Warbler], Townsend W.
