Transcript:
[calligraphic inscription:] Since Liberation, under the leadership of the Party, fisherfolk in Lake Tai began to look after the environment again. They reclaimed land, built villages, and engaged in fisheries and agriculture. People settled down on the land and gave up living [in boats] on the water. Every year they enjoy rich yields of fish and grain. It is a scene of abundance, and I have done my best to portray a corner of it. 1972. Respectfully, Qian Songyan.
