255. Plan of Lillooet, British Columbia
- Title:
- Plan of Lillooet, British Columbia
- Description:
- Surveyed by Duffey, Brekenridge, and Goskirk in 1860 and drawn by White in 1861, this map shows the plans for the town of Lillooet located on the banks of the Fraser River with the Cayoosh River bordering one side. The town has many numbered plots of land of various sizes and with some organized into blocks. Detailed relief marks and shading show the land forms surrounding the town and river. There are many features named on the map including "Chinaman" flat gold washing, "Indian" burying ground in the middle of the town, reserves, gold wasjing areas, ferries, a reservoir, Black Rock island, and a sluice to gold washing benches. There is a note stating that the Block V. Suburban lands were added on Nov 1, 1867 and that the roads and trails marked on this map are approximate and can be altered by the government at any time.

- The town of Lytton, surveyed by McColl, drawn by Sinnett, and signed by Parsons, with detailed relief markings along the banks of the Fraser and Thompson Rivers. The town is divided into numbered rectangular plots with streets and adjacent to the town there is an "Indian Reserve" and a trail to Boston Bar. Burial grounds, ferry routes, stone sunk, cemeteries, gardens, mining areas, dams, and the water supply are all marked on the map along with a trail leading to Boston Bar. At the bottom of the map there is a graph charting the vertical section of the stream with alphabetical points and the height of the stream marked along it.

- Surveyed with a compass and chain by McColl, this map shows the plans for a plot of land labeled Sert. McColl along the Tulameen River, and an "Indian" reserve where Tulameen meets the South Fork and the Similkameen Rivers at Vermillion Forks, and a town reserve for Princeton and Lot 1 for Capt. Luard along the Similkameen River. There is relief shading along the bodies of water.
