- Vancouver Island with small areas marked in red all along the coast signifying reserves, note a lack of red marks on the southern tip of the island. The following places are named on the map (the large majority of these places have reserves marked near them): Cape Scott, Fort Rupert, S. Josef Bay, Quatsinough Hi., Woody Point, Esperanza Inlet, Nootka Island, Nootka Sound, Estevan Point, Flores Island, Clayquot Sound, Barclay Sound, False Nitnat, River Jordan, Sooke, Metchosin, Esquimalt, Victoria, Lake, Cowichin, Oyster Harbour, Nanaimo, Alberni, Valdez Inlet, and Comox. - [Plan of James Bay Reserve]
- Description:
- Consists of two maps and two sets of notes explaining the maps on one sheet. The first map is of the James Bay Reserve and shows the streets (Menzies St.), the government reserve, and the bridge all adjacent to James Bay. The note is dated May 6, 1864 and describes the dimensions of the map and that they came from the Official Map of 1858. The second map is an outline of the Victoria District with a church, park and school reserves marked on it. The accompanying note describes the dimensions and sizes of these three reserves.

- Description:
- The plans for a town on Maple Bay in North Cowichan on Vancouver Island. Includes several rows of numbered blocks of numbered plots of land and letters on the streets between them. There are roads leading from the Somonos settlement and from the Cowichan Bay and Comiaken settlements. There are several plots on the banks of Maple Bay that have been labeled for government reserves. There are some light relief marks on the map and it has been signed and noted that it has been approved by the executive council.

- Plan of the Government Reserve Town of Nanaimo
- Description:
- A section of Front Street in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Dallas Square is on one side of the street and the other side has some numbered plots of land and a Government Reserve (containing the Court House, another building, and some land leased to L.W. Gordon for 20 years starting from April 1875) that leads to the coast with a boat house and floating pier. There is a rectangle with sides labelled A, B, C, and D that includes the government reserve and that has measurements from soundings taken from low water in feet. There are two cross-sections of the coast from points C and D and points A and B in that rectangle showing the land and heights of the low and high waters.
