- Description:
- A rough sketch of a trail taken from sketches of Mr. Begbie and Mr. Dewdney. The trail goes along the U.S.-Canada border starting from Boundary Creek, moving along the Kettle River, past Christina Lake, along different trails including the Dewdney Trail to where the Columbia and the Pend D'Oreille Rivers meet, along the Pend Orielle River up to Salmon River, and along a trail in a mountain valley ending at the Kootenai/Kootenay Lake and River. All along the route at certain points there are notes with different measurements like heights and the dates in October 1865 that they reached those points along with some relief markings and points of interest like ferries, Fort Sheppard, and the land cover (e.g. prairie, grass, hills etc.).

- A trail starting at Fort Shepherd where the Columbia and Pend D'Oreille rivers meet, continuing along the Salmon River, then Summit and Cayoosh Creeks, the southern base of Kootenay Lake at Goat River, over to Mooyie Rover, past a lake to the starting point of Dewdney's Trail, and up to where St. Mary's River and Kootenie River cross. There are notes about the land cover along the trail including prairie, grass, and hills. A few features are named along the trail including ferries, a house, a bridge. The map also includes Kootenay Lake and Kootney River to where it meets the Columbia River (no trail along this portion of the map).

- A plot of land on the east coast of Vancouver Island that includes Boulder Point. Sketches of trees and streams show the land cover and a trail crosses the plot of land coming from Nanaimo and leading to Cowichan. There is also an an old mill labeled on the coast and a small sketch of the land plot at 1/10th the scale of the other is also present.
