The Anarchist Archive Collection contains select digitized material from the Anarchist Archive.
The Anarchist Archive is devoted to the study of anarchism, with a special focus on the history of the movement in Canada.
History and mandate:
Founded in 2005 by Director Allan Antliff, the Anarchist Archive has a special mandate to collect and preserve anarchist-related materials, including posters, photographs, art work, videos, audio recordings, journals, pamphlets and zines, books, oral histories, correspondence (written and digital), organizational records, and other items.
Holdings include the papers of:

Activist and prison abolitionist Jim Campbell
Keith McHenry, founder of the international activist organization Food Not Bombs
Ann Hansen, author of Direct Action: Memoirs of an Urban Guerrilla

A compilation of newspaper articles, pesonal narratives, quotations from authors, academics, etc., with the author's commentary. "This pamphlet is addressing the experience of childhood, shared by both sexes in western society ... In the west, expectations of what a girl and a boy 'should' be are distinguished according to the prevailing notions of femininity and masculinity." "This pamphlet... is part of an on-going preoccupation with children's oppression, starting from my own experience." - F.O.D.! maggotzine - No. 01
- Description:
- F.O.D.! Maggotzine was a zine released by Urania 235 from Toronto, Ontario. This first issue of the zine was released in 1989, and more issues followed in the 1990s. It was a photocopied, cut and paste publication and each issue had a different coloured cover. It is a large size zine (8 1/2 by 11 inch) which was used to feature full page illustrations and comics, along with articles, stories, interviews and many clippings of the strangest and most bizarre events reported on in newspapers and magazines. The editor is a tattoo artist, so the zine also includes many photos of his artistry. There are also reviews of recordings, magazines, books, comics and zines. The first issue was co-produced with Amy Grant and Dead. In issue two, the editor explains how they have both quit over the content in issue one, especially an illustration by Urania 235.
