Bear Mother and Bad,-
As I wrote Marjorie acouple of days ago, I warn you in advance that this is going to be a short letter. Thought I'd better drop you a few lines before I left for Cannes. Proa past experience I know how little time a fellow has to spare* on leave for writing so the best I can promise you in that line is an occa,sional peat card. But when I get back, will certainly have some material for letter writing, if my Paris jaunt is any criterion.
Had slaost despaired of receiving the sweater you sent, especially in view of so much mail being destroyed in the Halifax disaster. You’ll be very pleased, however, to know that both parcels reached here today, the one for Harold being readdressed already.
That sweater is a dandy, and I’m deeply indebted to Aunt Annie, Aunt Polly and you folks for your kindness in sending it.
