  • Rana clamitans [Lithobates clamitans - green frog] Sept. [September] 19/41 [1941] In company with G.H. Hardy drove to Lohbrunners and got directions for locating "Kings Pond". After searching fields near Cedar Hill Rd. [word crossed out] Cross Rd. [road] we eventually came back to a small. very muddy pond near an empty house and collected one pair of frogs, which jumped into[?] water on being disturbed No tadpoles were seen but they may easily be present since water was too muddy to see beneath the surface. Many snails were present; also, back- swimmers, water boatmen, dragonfly larvae, etc. Frogs were preserved.
