June 29/42 [1942] Went with Munros
and visited Cummings Lake on
Onward Ranch Road in A.M. [morning] and Jones
Lake, east of 148 Mile, in P.M. [evening].
Munro and Forbes each caught a large
Lake trout in evening - 9 lbs [pounds] + 13 1/2 lbs [pounds].
June 30th [1942] Visited Anthony Lake with
Munros.
July 1st [1942] Launched boat in San Jose
River about 1 mile about 130 Mile
Lake. Rowed + paddled down stream
to inlet end of lake; skirted part of
shore + returned up stream.
Stopped at swifter running part
of San Jose R. [river] on return + collected
suckers in shallows + 1 frog. Returned
to camp 4 P.M. to press plants, pickle[?]
fish + skin. Very hot.
July 2nd [1942] Went with Jim Munro 7 A.M.
to avoid hot part of day to 103 Mile Lake
which we patrolled by canoe. One way back
stopped at Tattou Lake. Home by noon.
Made skins in afternoon. After supper reset
traps along stream 1 mile N.E. [northeast] of camp.
Munro + Forbes caught a 19 lb [pound] Laketrout in P.M. [evening]
