- Aug 19th Monday. Oil came to an end. Karl in Palma, seeing Sabater. Finished [Chapter] VIII Almost Forgotten Times To village for 5 litres vinegar, to Posada to shut banging door, practised dancing with Laura, picked green tomatoes for pickle. In afternoon to sea but forgot bathing–dress: so to Can Malrich, got figs, peaches, apples. At village found Radio people with new radio — not battery. Laura Karl & I went later to hear it: got all English stations. More Almost Forgotten Times [Chapter] (IX). Present to me from L (Karl got) of 2 belts, one broad, one smart.
