Keith Macgowan - Programme for 4th Canadian Division New Year's Ball, Brussels, December 31, 1918

A programme for a new year's ball given by the 4th Canadian Division in Brussels on December 31, 1918, a month after peace was declared. Biography: Keith Campbell Macgowan was born in Gowan Brae, PEI in 1890 and died in New Westminster BC in 1934. He was admitted to the bar in 1912, and joined the 131st Battalion of the New Westminster Regiment in 1916. During World War I, Macgowan was promoted to the rank of Captain, and was also engaged in scouting missions and providing legal work for the army.
