- Sunday Nov 15 Woke late. More work on Manor House . Wrote to Isabel. Reading Augustine's Confessions . Laura working on the last chapter of The Heathen , I checking. Today Mary got engaged – for the fourth time. Noise of radio's radios not drowned by traffic. Also Welsh miners singing in Baker St. To Nan & Wilfred's in 75 Flask Walk Hampstead. He is now Member of Parliament for North Cumberland & has got bald and rather mannered. We liked Nan very much. Wilfred will ask P.M.G. a question about Italian air mail to Majorca.
