- Mr + Mrs [Bertil] Haglund, Mr Malm, an old botanist
Chop Olrog + his son, + the lawyer-
secretary to the Commission. We had a
most interesting 2 hrs [hours] of motion picture
films taken by [Bertil] Haglund + showing
Swedish game + hunting. The first reel
showed general items + such things as
a fox stalking + catching a pheasant, a
polecat breaking up a pheasant nest,
pictures of otter, of fox hunting + of
rabbit hunting. The second showed
mostly moose + roe -, another showed
seal hunting in the Baltic using
a long ski equipped with a screen
+ rifle chip + rest. The men go out
for as much as a month + many
get as many as 50 seal in that
time. During the war they were worth
Kr [Krone] 100 apiece.
We later went to a restaurant +
had a very excellent dinner that
did not get finished until midnight
on S.S Allotar.
I boarded ship at 10:30 this morning
and at 11 we sailed. A very fine day
+ the trip down the long channel from
Stockholm to the Baltic was most
lovely with the trees all in autumn
color. The main Baltic was only
