Awake to a blustery rainy day + a
cold in the head, a discouraging combination.
I find that such every day nostrums as
antihistamines + penicillin throat pastiles
+ dramamine here require prescriptions.
When I finally got myself out of bed it
was 8:30 + after looking from the hotel
at streetcars with people hanging onto the
outside I decided to wait awhile before
going out. At 10 I went over to the
Canadian Legation + picked up my mail.
From there I took a car #7 + then a
bus to Friscati - a northern suburb
where the University is situated.
There I looked up Prof. [Professor] H. Rondahl, a
white haired arty type of man in
an office cluttered with budgerigars
a pet starling + a pet rabbit. The entire
place, including all but one of the
chairs stacked, cluttered + hanging with
surrealistic art of his own doing.
I gather that little goes on of a highly
scientific nature. Rondahl is director + a
fish man. Count Guylderstalpe is the
