1. Confining elephants in the Aberdares until [illegible words]
2. The role of primate [illegible word] in the Natl [national] Parks
in providing areas + lodging, also for harvesting
surplus where there is not a large enough home
pop. [population] to take the surplus outside the parks, where
the govt [government] is unable to do the job.
3. E. [East] African wildlife services
4 Can over use be defined in terms
of plant biomass.
5. Revenue from tourism depends on a
stable political situation, revenue from
wildlife harvest depends on hungry
people who will pay. There is therefore
grounds for the view that in the

may best be assured by gearing it to
the food demand.
6. In Uganda much of the land in the 3 lrg [large] parks

land is in short supply. This puts the parks

the parks to produce a yield of meat that will
help to justify their captivation.
Rate of pop [population] increase Kikuyu 5%/annum. [year]
