On April 17, 1893, Li Hong and He Wu both say they would peacefully end their previous quarrel and restore good relations. Yesterday in the market Li Hong snatched a wallet from He Wu, who went to the local police office to accuse Li Hong. Being advised by the senior Chinese, He Wu is willing to drop the accusation. Li Hong has to give He Wu $50 for compensation. If it is not allowed to end the quarrel this way Li Hong is put in jail, he can not get back this $50. Both of them should bear their previous expenses respectively.
This agreement is made between Li Hong and He Wu in the presence of the witness
