After passing a slide below camp 6 times on various days without seeing or hearing conies, I happened to be standing near when a golden eagle flew over. Cony cries came from several spots. Food pile of last winter 90% balsam tips 10% red heather. Eva Lake trail July 12/37 [1937]. Today Joyce [Cowan] saw a very small pika. This is the first young we have seen out of the nest.
