Poboktan - Waterfalls Cabin. [underlined] July 3/44 [1944]
En route here from lower Poboktan
cabin saw 4 moose: - 2 cows, 1 bull
1 yearling cow.
Lick: A muck lick by Poboktan creek
about 5 miles from the highway
Poboktan Pass. [underlined] July 4/44. [1944]
On the side hill N.E [northeast] of camp, in
the vicinity of the licks (of which
we saw four) we counted 15
moose as follows.
9 bulls over 1 year
1 yearling bull
5 cows.
None of the cows had calves with
them.
Injuries:- One cow was lame in the left
hind leg.
Moult:- All but one cow were in
full fresh pelage.

Saw 4 moose not seen previously
2 cows 1 2yr [year] [male symbol], 1 yearling
Brazeau Lake Cabin. July 7/44 [1944]
Saw a large bull + a cow on
way over pass.
About a mile west of here are
the remains of a bull tangled in
the telephone wire.
