Blue Creek May 26/44 [1944]
On the hillside east of here saw
5 [female symbol] ? 2 yearlings + 4 [male symbol] ? They wintered here
Topaz Shelter May 29/44 [1944]
On mountain slopes just east of us
I counted 7 goats - all adults + behaving,
by their solitary condition, as if they
were males
There were sheep on the same slides
but the goats were ranging higher
+ there were none close to the sheep.
Topaz May 30/44 [1944]
On the slides this side (S) of the
Natural Arch were 10 goat in a group.
From what I could see all were [female symbol]
+ all adult - no kids yet.
4 other goat near camp appeared to
be males.
Shalebank June 2/44 [1944]
On east lick were 27 goat Of these
8 [male symbol] 4 yearlings + 15 [female symbol]. Another [male symbol] on
west lick
Moult:- Many of these goat were shedding
particularly on the head.
Most of these goat were very small
animals but with relatively large horns.

Saw 6 goat high on the slopes of the
mt [mountain] north of Patricia Lake.
