Blue Creek May 28/44 [1944]
Saw 3 does today.
Topaz Shelter May 29/44 [1944]
Counted 3 [female symbol] + 2 [male symbol] - one the [female symbol] was a
yearling I am almost sure. There were
no deer tracks along the trail on the
way in + I feel certain that the deer
have wintered here.
Topaz Shelter May 30/44 [1944]
Saw 4 [male symbol] + 1 [female symbol] + 1 ?
Of these the 4 [male symbol] were apparently new.
All were in good condition so far
as could be determined.
Willow Creek June 1/44 [1944]
Saw 9 deer not previously counted
7 [female symbol] + 2 [female symbol]. No sign of fawns
yet.
Shalebanks June 2/44 [1944]
Saw 9 deer on way down the trail
5 [male symbol] + 4 [female symbol] - does and bucks still in
pairs of even sex.
Jasper June 3/44 [1944]
Photographed a young buck with
3 large fibromata on its right side
Moult This animal predominantly in summer
pelage, the first so seen.
Jasper June 5/44 [1944]
