First arrival Jan [January] 23rd 1922 Pt [Point] Gray
5 seen at Esquimalt Feb [february] 2nd 1922
1 [check mark symbol] Shaughnessy Hgts [Heights] Feb [February] 12th 1922.
At Terra nova a nest seen in hedge
containing three half fledged young
May 3rd.-
April 30th. Robin nest containing three
eggs. 1 pale + 2 dark coloured. Male
bird was the ordinary normal bird while
the female was spattered all over with
white feathers. She was secured + when
skinned was found to be very old +
only three small imperfect eggs in
body ( [circle drawn to depict size] size)
Mch. [March] 8/24 [1924] Point Gray B.C. [British Columbia] Fine but cloudy.
About 4 pm noticed numerous flocks
of robin flying high overhead going in
a N. [north] Westerly direction as if bound
for Vanc. [Vancouver] Island. Some ten or fifteen
birds arrived + stayed about near us
Jan [January] 1st 1924 Five robins seen
sitting on a tree in front of a farm
house along Lulu Is. [Island] dyke road
near Marpole.
Feb [February] 26/27 Three robins seen thru [through]
[illegible word] in front of our house, perched on
top of trees opposite. All were singing
This being the first time we have
heard the robins singing this year.
6/22/24. [June 22 1924] Very abundant everywhere
between McGuire + Pemberton.
