Rough winged swallow
June 2nd 1921. Noticed sand martin
flying in + out of hole in cliff at
beach, The entrance is about 2 or 3
feet below top of bank + the birds
are now building + finishing
nest at end of burrow as they
constantly carried in pieces of
fu [word crossed out] nesting material.
June 4th 1921 In company with Mr Winson
watched the birds flying in + out with
building material, so nest is not
yet completed
May. [space left blank] 1922 In company Fred
Pearman watched several pairs
building in sand bank just north
of [illegible word] Red Gap near Nanoose
Two taken, both [male symbol] ad. [adult]
Popcom [Popkum] Lake. Rosedale B.C. [British Columbia] [underlined]
May 1st several seen flying about head
of lake
