After breakfast this morning
we went over to the office in search
of our camera + found that it had
arrived. We then looked up the
Station Manager for Pan Am [Pan American]. Mr
Stan Bartlett. He took us home to
meet his wife Joe - nee Johnson
UBC [University of British Columbia] 35 + his two children.
The boy Keith of 13 strikes me
as being a first rate youngster
full of enthusiasm for fish +
other marine life. He has been
making pocket money catching fish
for live shipment to the US [United States] +
getting coral for sale to the
tourists.
In the afternoon got busy with
the camera + took some general
shots of the reed with its
surf, coral etc. spoiled one
roll by underexposure.
Picked up some interesting molluscs
+ corals.
In the evening found that
thousands of terns were over Peale
Island. Counted 38 frigates at
clothing [underlined]
