Census: [male symbol]'s 10 + 4
[female symbol]'s 8 + 7 kids
unsexed 27.
Bedding:- The old [male symbol]'s were all of them
bedded on earth slips on the grassy
sidehills + with their front feet
scraped earth onto the abdomen +
exposed side.
The nannies + kids were all in
one band. Many of the others were
[female symbol]'s but were not surely determinable.
Same Local.[locality] [underlined] Aug. [August] 17/43 [1943]
Saw 10 more billies on the west ridge
north of where we saw the others
yesterday.
The ridge east of here appears to
be winter goat range - old tracks, beds
+ droppings but no goat at this time
of year + no hair on bushes. Must
pull out early in the spring. No sign
of winter kills.

Saw 9 apparently [female symbol]'s + yng [young]
4 " [apparently] billy's [billies]. on hills just
E [east] of cabin. Bob Jones reports that
they winter here.

On sidehill from natural arch south
to about a mile south of here
15 [female symbol], 2 kids, 1 yearling, 6 [male symbol]. winter here.
