Dear Sir:
Your letter of the 28th of Sept. last, accompanied by the photo-
graphs and descriptive cards of the James Leonard, alias Billy Dunn, alias
J.H. Burnett, alias Hewitt, alias Geo. Woods, and William Lorenzo, at hand and
contents fully noted.
The following is James Leonard's record as we have it, to wit:
Aug. 28th, 1883-House of Correction, 6 months, for Petit Larceny, as Frank
Cullen.
Nov. 29th, 1884-Co. [County] Jail, 30 days, for Petit Larceny, as Jas. Abbott, alias Cullen.
July 24th, 1886-tate Prison 3-1/2 yrs, Burg. [burglary] 1st Deg. as Jno.Dunn, from San
Joaquin Co.Cal.
Mar. 21st, 1891-State Prison 6 yrs, Burg. [burglary] 1st Deg. as Wm. Dunn, from this city.
This mans true name is James Abbott.
Lorenzo we know nothing about down here, so far a criminal re-
cord is concerned.
