Aug [August] 22 [1931]. Alan [Racey] took a male weasel in the
willows on the north side of the River
My traps took a single shrew.
Weather unsettled + showery.
Aug [August] 23 [1931]. Went over to the spruce woods
in the afternoon and shot a
large male porcupine that
Mr [Kenneth] Racey had seen there in the
morning. Saw a marsh Hawk
and a number of Sharp
tailed grouse.
In the evening we took a trip
up to Shillakers. Mr [Frank M.] Shillaker
presented us with a young male
Lemmus [word crossed out] [illegible word crossed out] Microtus drummondi taken by
Laciese Cha in his meadow
15 N.W [northwest] of Chezacut up the Chilcotin
River. He saw the adult animals
also. Moses Ronsin reported these
animals as being on his meadow
at Anaham [Anahim] Lake.
Aug [August] 24 [1931] Traps took a large female
flying squirrel taken close to
the place I took the first one, that is
right on the edge of the spruce
woods on the south shore of
the lake. S
Aug [August] 25 [1931]. Took another flying squirrel,
the largest yet. Also a female,

across the ford. Took up our
