Sicamous B.C. [British Columbia] June 30. 1937. [Ian McTaggart] Cowan + I each
collected a [male symbol] from rock slides. - topotypes.
Mt. [Mount] Revelstoke Park B.C. July 1. 1937. Long rock
slide east of camp saw 5, collected one - a [male symbol] +
heard 7 or 8. Alt. [Altitude] about 6000' ft [feet]. This
afternoon saw two more conies in rockslide
+ set out six rat traps in likely spots in
slide.
Eva Lake, Revelstoke Park BC [British Columbia] July 10, 11, 12th
1937. Very common on all rock slides + up
to nearly 8000 ft [feet]. Four were collected.
On the 12th Joyce [Cowan] saw a young pika (1/2 grown) above
large rock slide at an elev. [elevation] of about 7500'. It
allowed her to approach within 6 or 8 ft [feet]. In
the large rockslide I examined a bulky
hay supply + found it to consist of about
85% spruce tips + the balance of sedges, with a
few scattered pieces of pine (4 needles to bunch)
