- June 29. Quesnel. B.C. [British Columbia]
Left Kamloops at 10 AM. - Roads
very bad to Clinton, after that
not so bad. Lunched at 59 Mile
Creek. Arrived in Quesnel on
the tail end of a 3 day storm
at 7:20 P.M. Roads slippery between
Soda Cr. [Creek] + Quesnel.
At Hat Creek saw a rock
wren but was unable to
collect it.
June 30, 1936. Quesnel, B.C. [British Columbia]
2 Bridges out on Prince
George road + still raining.
Moved out to 10 Mile lake
on very slippery road + set
up camp. Rained torrents all
afternoon + evening.
July 1, 1936. 10 Mile Lake.
I arose at 4 AM to find the
rain stopped but everything dripping
+ clouds right down on
the lake. Collected 2 singing
male sparrows (Lincoln?) +
a Tennessee? Warbler. After
breakfast took a [male symbol] Magnolia
Warbler + a set of Holboell
Grebe's eggs.
