- Crossbills
White-winged
Mt. [Mount] Revelstoke B.C. [British Columbia] July 21. 1937. This
morning about 7 o'clock collected a
breeding male from the top of a tall
spruce tree a quarter of a mile below
Cabin 8. - 3400 ft [feet]. Was in full song. On
dissection testes were found to be
about [circle drawn].
Have seen + heard crossbills all
over this mountain, they fly high
+ are difficult to approach. Shot
one of flock of about 8 or 10 when
camped at mile 18 but it stuck in
tall tree + could not be found.
