- Sciurus hudsonicus.
Mt [Mount] Revelstoke, B.C. [British Columbia] July 5, 1937.
Took a [male symbol] squirrel in winter
pelage. [female symbol] Taken 4 days ago was
in complete summer pelage.
This [male symbol] had huge piles of
spruce + balsam cones'
scales piled up in a little
clump of balsam.
Nest was underground.
Have seen no tree nests here
+ but 2 on the Monashee.
Mt. [Mount] Revelstoke. July 7, 1937.
In a trap set near the
nest of the [male symbol] mentioned above,
took a [female symbol] in winter pelage
not nursing or lactating.
There was a [male symbol] in a tree
close by. Probably the squirrels
are mating just now.
