- London [underlined]
Check date of Vol [Volume] VIII [8] Acmaea
nuttali [underlined] in Reeve + enter date in
my notes.
Mopalia.
There are in the B.M. [British Museum] several
lots identified as Mopalia hindsii [underlined]
All of these have a well developed
predominantly linear sculpture on
the dorsal region with V patterning
especially on each side of the central
ridge. A row of larger tubercles
separates dorsal from lateral areas.
Lateral areas have lines of pits in
oblique rows separated by ridges
Very shallow + open indentations
in valve 8. Side coloring as in my
#3405 but articular plates separated
by a more open notch.
[Line drawn from beginning of the following sentence to "valve 8" written 3 lines above]
But more obvious than in the striped
mopalia [underlined] my #3406 that I have
labelled hindsii [underlined] but is here called
lignosa [underlined]
