- Golden Plover
Reindeer Station July 11, 1947.
Saw a flock of 40 yesterday + today
one of 6, one of 4 + one of 8
as well as a pair.
Kidluit Bay. July 24-29/47 [1947].
Plover quite common here on
the flat tundra + on rolling tundra
hills. All birds act as if they have
young in the vicinity. I saw + took
just one chick, a half grown
bird in process of assuming its
first winter plumage.
