- Jones Lake - Cariboo: Mile 148
June 29/42 [1942] - About 3/4 mile east
of Highway in area free from
grazing (reserved for hay fields)
The lake has been artificially enlarged
by damming the outlet stream. Original
size was about 50 acres; now about
100 acres with much of it thick swamp,
almost inpenetrable [part of word has ink spilled on it?] by canoe.
Large beds of Scirpus [underlined], Typha [underlined],
Hippuris vulgaris [underlined] [common mare's tail] were present
around circumference + particularly
bordering.
