Rd. [road] just east of W. [west] Saanich Rd. [road].

red water mites. Back swimmers.
Pong fairly deep (2-3 ft [feet]?) with
thick growth of willows etc. in centre.
Size 50' [feet] diameter. Gastropods suggest

too high and muddy after recent heavy
showers to see any sign of crayfish.

on this rd [road] along Colquitz to Garden City
Considerable water still in Garden City flats
and numbers of ducks present (Widgeon?)
Visited pond in old quarry near junction
of Wilkinson Rd [road] + W. [west] Saanich Rd [road] - Ghost larvae [ghost shrimp]
(pupae mostly) only, collected.
